How UV-C LED Disinfection Works

The principle is based on pure physics rather than chemistry. Our units emit high-energy ultraviolet light at 265 ± 5 nm wavelength, the most effective wavelength for the disruption of pathogen DNA.

  • The radiation penetrates directly into the genetic material (DNA/RNA) of microorganisms.

  • The UV-C light destroys molecular bonds, rendering germs unable to reproduce. They are neutralized within fractions of a second—without changing the taste or odor of the water.
